Mani Peninsula / Kelefa Castle – Kelefa Village – Monastery of Spiliotissa

Our hike starts from the Castle of Kelefa, built in 1670 by the Ottomans, enjoying the breathtaking view of the Oitylo Bay and the surrounding settlements.

Then we reach the Kelefa traditional settlement with paved roads, stone houses and the beautiful church of Agios Vasilios. Our hike continues up to the Monastery of Panagia Spiliotissa with a 17th century cave church and unique examples of folk art frescoes. After a short break to rest we turn back to the Kelefa Castle.
